Over the last few days we have found posting anything has been very difficult. A couple of live videos we made en route failed due to poor reception and the places we have stayed in had very poor wifi reception as well. In Camblain l'Abbe we stayed in a boarding school, last night in a hostel for young workers in Arras and tonight in a very nice Chambres D'Hote in Bapaume. I must tell you that we are totally exhausted as these last three days we have walked an average of 25kms per day. Today was the longest at 28kms which took us 8 and a half hours! After that, getting down to writing a blog, particularly when you have to wait ages for photos to upload etc can be maddening, so please excuse the fact that we have been a bit short on photos.
Since our last post we walked from Wisques to Therouanne, Amettes (the birthplace of Saint Benoit, whose house still exists, Camblain L'Abbe where we stayed in a boys boarding school, Arras, sleeping in a Hostel for young workers (hoe they mistook us for young AND workers I'll never know!). Finally today we sleep in a very comfortable Chambres D'Hote (B+B) In Bapaume. Tomorrow we leave for Perone, another gruelling 25 kms! Wish us luck! Lots more postings and photos on our Facebook page
