Earlier this afternoon we arrived, totally exhausted, in Wisques after a tiring 23 kms, mainly over quiet minor roads.  The day started very cold with -2° but warmed up to 9° later in the day.  It's been a beautifully sunny day and we are now resting in the Notre Dame Abbey, where we received a warm welcome from Sister Lucie.  We are now showered, have a nice bedroom all to ourselves and dinner is at 7:00pm.  Can't really ask for more.  Tomorrow we leave for Therouanne, a shorter 14 or 15 kms.  I'm delighted to say that my leg survived today's punishment and Ana Maria's foot which sustained a stress fracture on our last long walk is also looking good.  It looks as if we may be able to get to Rome after all!

Esta tarde llegamos a Wisques totalmente agotados, después de una larga caminata de 23kms, mayormente por carreteras secundarias con poco tráfico.  El día empezó muy frío, -2° y luego subió a 9°.  Un día lindo de sol; ahora estamos descansando en la Abadía de Notre Dame donde recibimos una cálida acogida de sor Lucie. Ya nos duchamos, tenemos una linda habitación y nos invitan a cenar a las 7:00pm. Que más podemos pedir?  Mañana vamos a Therouanne una caminata más corta de unos 14 o 15 kms.  Estoy contento que mi pierna sobrevivió el duro castigo de hoy y el pie de Ana María que sostuvo una fractura de estrés durante nuestra última caminata larga, también está bien.  Parece que lograremos llegar a Roma!
