Pavia to Santa Cristina - 30kms

A long day today made worse by the heat. That said we renewed old friendships and made new ones, meeting new pilgrims along the way and getting together with others in our "Ostello" tonight. Instead of cooking, which no one felt inclined to do, we went out to a local pizzeria, where much fun was had.

The path today was mainly through minor roads, still within sight of the rice fields, although these are tending to be smaller and less in number. At one point the route has been changed and now goes around three sides of an enormous sand quarry which must have added a couple of extra kms at least to our journey. 

Tomorrow we go to Orio Litto, some 17kms away.
