Hi! We're back. Reception has improved so we are going to try and catch up with a few postings!

Brianne Le Chateau to Bar sur Aube - 28kms

A long stretch today but in good weather and not a Roman road in sight! Today our walk was mainly village hopping, i.e. going from one village to the next spaced about 3 or 4 kms apart. We even managed to find two bars that were open along the way. Success at last! Today we also met our first pilgrim doing the Via Francígena, a lovely Dutch lady called Lideke. She started in Belgium and hopes to finish in Langres this year and then try to carry on to Rome next year. We also met four Austrian hikers who were walking in the opposite direction on their way to Mont St Michel! In the afternoon the route got quite hilly but as we were walking through a nature reserve it was fine, even if it rained for a while!
