A short 17kms walk today from Langres to Les Archots. Very warm and sunny with temperatures in the mid 20's. walked along fields and minor roads. Nothing too spectacular but quite pleasant. Leaving Langres this morning we realised what a beautiful walled city it is. One day we have to return,with the car this time, to try and see all the things we have missed! Last night we stayed in a B& B run by Etienne and Regine who insisted on donating €10 to our NDCS fundraising. On our way we saw one of the oldest dovecotes inFrance now classified an historic monument. Tonight in a Gite de France in LesArchots run by Veronique and Serge, we have been joined by Peter and Johanna our Dutch friends. It was Serge's birthday so suffice to say that there was much wine flowing!
