Seveux to Gy - 19kms

Today turned out to be one of those days we dread! It rained incessantly all day. We walked mainly on busy roads partly through beautiful woods. This too was a problem as in the bad weather our green ponchos blend too closely with the green from the trees surrounding us, posing a real danger for us. In the end we resorted to using our flashing armbands.

We did manage to find a restaurant in La Madeleine. Although it was closed the owner opened for us and invited us to coffee and a lovely apple tart. She would not accept payment so we now have another donation for NDCS to notch up! She said she had seen us walking through the woods and was concerned about our green ponchos. She therefore gave us a blue poncho which although too small, AnaMaria wore over her green one. In the end we had a blue poncho and lights gleaming everywhere!

Tomorrow the weather looks more pleasant as we walk to Cussey sur L'ognon where at long last we have managed to find accommodation.
